Highly selective epoxidation of styrene at ambient temperature under photo-assisted condition over bimetallic Eu and Ti-doped amino-functionalized mesoporous molecular sieve

Mesoporous molecular sieves silica materials had been functionalized employing 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane as the surface decoration agent by a post-synthesis method and Eu Ti with different loading ratio were synchronously anchored on amino-functionalized framework incipient wetness impregnation method, respectively. The structures of synthesized samples evaluated means X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectra, scanning electron microscope, transmission photoelectron spectroscopy solid-state 29Si magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance spectra. results revealed that highly ordered mesoporous two dimensional hexagonal structure channel well preserved isolated tetrahedral Eu3+ [TiO4] or [HOTiO3] species found to be grafted dispersed in framework. A significant enhancement selectivity conversion for photocatalytic epoxidation styrene has achieved synergistic effect based ligand density between Ti4+ factors associated oxide such solvent, metal loading, amount NaOH, H2O2/Styrene, catalyst reaction time also investigated details. desired (84%) excellent (32%) turnover frequency 3.1 × 10−4s−1 obtained using aqueous H2O2 an oxidant presence acetonitrile solvent under ambient temperature.
